  2. Yup. Especially when you read these books and the images unpack.

  3. Thought you'd like that. With both of these, it's amazing to me how John has made them so identical to the previous, unfinished catalog versions, and yet changed them utterly too.

  4. I am excited to get a chance to pick up and read this series. Its hard to judge how good a book really is (and how worth it is to ship it to here) from the far side of the pond.

I only picked up Gardens of the Moon, for example, before its publication in the US because I kept seeing blog post and article after article on it, and found it for sale in a remainder section of a local bookstore with a big import section.

  5. With the caveat that everyone has different tastes and no one can speak absolutely for how another will react, these books are really good.

  6. I've never read Chadbourn. Must admit I've been purposely avoiding reading him too. But when Darkest Hour is released, I'll have to change this by ordering both books.

Will they be hardback or paperback when released?

    I love blue . . .

  7. Trade paperback. And it's a trilogy, three in three months. With a follow up trilogy in the fall, also three in three months.

  8. Scratch that, second trilogy is next spring. Before that we publish the start of his new historical fantasy, The Swords of Avalon.

  9. Pushing the second trilogy back to spring 2010 sure helps the wallet. Looking forward to getting these...have to build a bigger library.

  10. Forcing you to build a bigger library has been my goal all along, KP.

  11. I've pre-ordered all three of the Age of Misrule trilogy. I'm sure looking forward to reading them.

Hey, Lou, do you give grants for building new bookshelves?

  12. If such a grant existed, I need one too.
